rendering beginning another mobile clubbing

about a third of the way through the rendering for the second of the tree cutup films... this one swapping between clips every 2/3rds of a second so slightly less ordering to do than the last one... spent more time lining up the images so it should work a little better, still got the black edges though... did anyone watch my first long version i wonder? anyone outside of this house i mean... i'd love to be able to track who downloads the media from this blog...

also began another film series... this one on it's own from the bridge over the canal that i cross over on my way to work... i captured the first bit today on my return home in the afternoon... my poor book, the windup bird chronicle that has suffered through my bike, frayed edges with the last carrier bag i was carrying it in, today it was in one of those thin bags you get fruit in in the supermarket... racing back after work, really loving the new front tire...

bump...

the bag ripped open and the book fell under my tires... still here, just a little ripped on a page i've already read... no other book has been this mistreated by me... somehow this one is bearing all the suffering...

so i stopped, picked the book up and went and stayed motionless on the canal bridge to think about it... that's when i realised what a prime spot for filming it is...

this first piece of footage might not be useful in the end because if i film on the way to work, the three days that i work down there, it will always be the same time of day that i do it... this appeals to me...

i was a little sad tonight because i had to work and thought i would miss the mobile clubbing event going on on villiers street... after work i cycled along the river listening to my shuffle (which i haven't listened to in an age) in a utopian haze... lovely thing to do... i arrived at villers street and immediately saw spanish M who raised her arms and yelled in that clubbing way...

a few stragglers still keeping the flame alight and i joined them for a little while, the music was stuff i'd downloaded from joolsMF mashup mp3 stuff... i only had about 20 minutes of dancing in me after today and in fact my shuffle ran out of juice just as i did, nice to be part of that scene just for a moment though...

i think it's only fitting that wind-up bird has an adventure.
