creative deoxy gig

yesterday was one of this semesters' tuesday offs...

the semester ends in a week...

so although i popped into work to assess 2 of the students briefly, i haven't been working at all since last friday...

a nice long stretch of time to be thinking about things...

my film making is in an interesting place... what with the water & improvisation film in a nearish the end phase and the water & memory film so near the beginning...

as usual the end process informs the beginning process and my film making ability raises up another notch with each film i make...

also engaged in music making a fair bit... mainly the music to water & memory but also thinking about putting music to one or all of my royal northern gardens short films...

& i've finally uploaded a video of that online gig i did in december, as you can see it's at the top of this post... almost half an hour of music... i put a couple of video things overlaid on it to suit my whimsy...

1st day back

taught for 6 hours today, after the not teaching for a 3 weeks... a little tired now, i'll be sleeping well tonight, which will be in contrast to last night when i attacked dinah in my sleep again...

details will be over in the hardly ever updated sleepviolence once i've blogged here...



as the sign says... the 29th weekly improvisation will be taking place tomorrow afternoon, same setup as the online gig, you need ventrilo to hear it, (details)...

i might start doing it online every week you never know, anyway it'll find it's way online sure enough once it's video'd, uploaded... you know the drill...

i've got a piano lesson 1st thing tomorrow too, 1st of many i hope, good for the bank balance...

and that's about all i can say right now, boring huh? no brain after today... later x

gigged bagged aristocrat

so i did my online gig, 27 minutes of me playing to my girlfriend & sometimes my cat in this room, and two other people out there online, a third who popped in and out, bad connection i guess and almost a fourth who got it all set up about 4 hours before the gig then never came back... small acorns and all that...

it included the 27th weekly improvisation which is rendering right now and will hopefully end up in this post...

me & dinah just saw the aristocrats on more4... very funny film about a joke... featuring an awful lot of mainly american comedians...

and one of the presents i got this christmas was from my beautiful dinah and it is a bag... but a bag modified so that i can hang it from my handle bars as i cycle...

i cycled with it today and it rocks...

sorry for myself

a little anyway...

yesterday i starting throwing up in the afternoon and i slept very badly last night...

so today i'm a little out of sorts, still not all better... and as a precautionary measure i'm missing christmas day dinner...

which is undoubtedly for the best but it is a bit rubbish...

my boobelah just phoned which pleases me though... and it turns out one of her nephews had a stomach bug which has felled both her mum and her sister in a similar way to my sickness... so that's probably where it came from...
